Psychometry

What is Psychometry? I have had this question asked many times and in this website blog I am going to example what is Psychometry.

Psychometry comes from two Greek words that that mean “soul measure.” Joseph R. Buchanan first coined the term back in 1842 and was one of the first individuals to experiment with this psychic ability. Individuals who have this psychic ability are able to “read” or sense the history or even the identity of an object by touch, and impressions on a subject are often perceived as emotions, sounds, tastes, smells or images.

Psychometry is very common, though people usually don’t give a second thought to what they pick up by touching something. Psychometry is the  psychic ability to obtain information that may be seen, felt, sensed, smelled or tasted. The data will usually come rapidly.

You can practice psychometry with a group of like-minded friends. Without anyone watching, each person puts an object in a basket, then each person removes someone else’s contribution to the basket to see what impressions they pick up from it. Impressions may be felt, seen with the inner eye, or heard with the inner ear; also information may come through the inner sense of taste or smell.

The things that work best for this exercise are objects that someone has had close to them for awhile because the owner’s psychic energy is registered more clearly for time. Metal objects such as jewelry, watches, or keys work the best because metal is an excellent conductor of psychic energy.

Psychometry, like any psychic skill, gets easier with practice. Some people use it in their careers. Psychics may hold an object given to them by a client to gain information. Or they may hold the hands of the person for whom they are doing a psychic reading and get pertinent information by direct touch. Getting impressions by touching an individual is similar to touching an inanimate object. Both are forms of psychometry.

Psychometry is a form of scrying – a psychic way of “seeing” something that is not ordinarily seeable. Some people can scry using a crystal ball, black glass or even the surface of water. With psychometry, this extraordinary vision is available through touch.

To explain the word psychometry, psyche and metry, spirit and material.

sychometry is a way to sense things from a person through an object. This is a nice and helpful way to get an easier link with someone, living or dead.

By the use of psychometrie practices a psychic reader can be linked through a necklace, a ring, or anything else only that a person worn, or touched or through a picture.

The psychic ability to discover information  (that may be seen, felt, sensed, smelled or tasted) about an event or person by touching inanimate objects associated with them.

For example, a person who has psychometric abilities – a psychometrist – can hold an antique glove and be able to tell something about the history of that glove, about the person who owned it, about the experiences that person had while in the possession of that glove. The psychic reader may be able to sense what the person was like, what they did and even how they died. Perhaps most important, the psychic reader can sense how the person felt – the emotions of the person at a particular time. Emotions especially, it seems, are most strongly “recorded” in the object

You can try Psychometry for yourself by asking a friend for an object, a watch, a ring, cigarette lighter, wallet etc. But something they are in regular contact with can make it easier. Try to find somewhere quiet and peaceful if possible. Place the object in the palm of your hand, and place your other hand on top. Explain to your friend what you are about to try and also ask their permission. Then sit quietly for a few moments and try to relax. I try to explain this step of relaxing as 'taking a step back from the world', it's similar to meditating. After a few moments or so you may find an image pops into your mind, for now just mention this out loud to your friend.

Although the majority of police departments polled do not use psychic reader and do not consider them credible or useful on cases.
