Psychic Channeling occurs when a being external to the channel uses the channel’s physical body to communicate. This external being may be an angel, extraterrestrial or other higher dimensional being, nature spirit, spirit guide or the spirit of a dead person. Channeling differs from psychic reading abilities like clairaudience psychics or clairvoyance psychics in that, with these psychic reading abilities, external entities communicate without utilizing the psychic’s body to manifest their communication.

Psychics may hear or see spirit without loaning their physical body to a spirit just as they communicate with living people without loaning their bodies to those people to use in conducting their communication. In channeling, in contrast, the channel goes away temporarily and a spirit steps in and uses the channel’s throat and voice, hands or other body parts to communicate. Spirits borrow a channel’s body temporarily and leave it once their communication session ends.

Often in trance mediumship, when the medium or channel empties his mind and invites a spirit entity to enter, there will be a twitching of the physical body as the spirit takes possession of it. Also there may be a definite change of voice or dialect. A male channeler may sound like a woman, or women channelers may sound like men.

People who channel are known as Clairvoyant Psychics or Physical Mediums. The individual’s beliefs and spirituality can be most important to the nurturing and development of their psychic ability. Many saints known to Christianity had psychic visions and were quiet adept at sensing the presences of the deceased. Communication in a mediumistic sense can also encompass the ability to hear heavenly voices and translate their messages to others.
